Osborn, centered around 7 Mile Road, has a reputation as a hotbed of gang activity, at least that's the impression one gets when talking to white middle-class people. They tend to avoid the place and talk about how dangerous it is.
The southern end of things, near Coleman Young Airport, does not have as bad a reputation... but the further out one goes, the worse the rep.
