Aster/Introduction

"Is this a game to me? People always sneer when they ask that, like it's a bad thing. But think about it. If this is all 'real', then the threats are all real too. The corporations really do control everything; the Technocracy really does dictate most of how the world works, and the odds really are overwhelmingly against us. But if this is a game, then those are all just... obstacles. They're the bosses that we're meant to beat. No, it won't be easy; every worthwhile game has challenge. But it's meant to be possible. Yes, this is a game to me. And I'm going for the high score."

Aster is a young woman, a 20-something MIT dropout, freelance coder, and game streamer. Her first goal in Detroit was to find her mentor, and now she's here to help, to "fix" Detroit and put local reality back on track.
